Internationally Educated Respiratory Therapists cannot register for the Canadian Board for Respiratory Care examination until their educational background and credentials have been reviewed and verified by the provincial regulatory authority in the province where they would like to practice.
If the province is not regulated, all international candidates must contact the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists to review eligibility.
All international candidates are strongly encouraged to review Respiratory Therapy practices in Canada utilizing the Self Assessment Readiness Tool.
